Essentials of Design Thinking Course – Singapore

According to INSEAD, the famous French business school, design is a transformational force that helps organisations develop products, services and experiences that resonate with customers and target stakeholders. And to be an innovator and gain a competitive advantage, you need to develop your design and creative thinking skills to stay ahead in today’s highly competitive and dynamic business environment.

Why learn design thinking? – The world’s most prestigious engineering university Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston, postulates that design thinking is a powerful process of problem-solving that begins with understanding unmet customer needs. From that insight emerges a process for innovation that encompasses concept development, applied creativity, prototyping and experimentation. MIT further affirms that when design thinking approaches are applied to business, the success rate for innovation improves substantially.

Quotes on design thinking

The main tenet of design thinking is empathy for the people you are trying to design for . Leadership is exactly the same thing – building empathy for the people that you are entrusted to help.”
David Kelley

Design thinking is a human-centred approach to innovation that draws from the designer’s toolkit to integrate the needs of the people, possibilities of technology and the requirements for business success.”
Tim Brown
